Company description:

Created in 2015 under the initiative of Prof. Nathalie Crutzen, the Smart City Institute (SCI) is a university research institute dedicated to sustainable and smart territories.
Based in the Faculty of Management of the University of Liège (HEC Liège), the SCI proposes to approach this theme from a managerial (and not only technical) angle, while adopting a truly multidisciplinary approach.

Due to its expertise, the Institute has also been the official academic reference on "Smart Regions" for the Walloon Region since 2016, through its Digital Wallonia program.

The Smart City Institute's missions are based on 4 main areas: research , training, raising awareness and guidance for local actors.
